●確信犯的(な) ideological; conscience-driven 《assassination》

・議長に対する暴言は確信犯的行為だった. It was my conscience which told me to abuse the speaker. | My abuse of the chairman was only right [what my conscience dictated].

●政治犯というのは確信犯である. Political crimes are ideological crimes [crimes of conscience].

・「あんなことしちゃいけないってわからないのかな」「あの子のは確信犯だよ」 “Doesn't she realize it's wrong?”―“For her it's a crime of conscience.”

・彼の失言は確信犯だ. He knew exactly what he was saying when he spoke out of line.
